MI has 19 map products the statewide topo is here. I see you're from MI select that or wherever in the box titled 'Search by Country or State". Now you have MapSource (either from City Nav or the depot).įor the free topos, click here. The come back and download and install MapSource. Go to gpsfiledepot dot com (link) and download and install Garmin Training Center. ![]() If you don't want City Nav now, you'll still need a copy of MapSource to load the topos. If you go this route, City Nav comes with MapSource install it on your computer so that you can load the maps onto your GPS. First, if you want your GPS to give turn-by-turn directions, you'll need to purchase City Nav. OK, a few steps, but they should be easy. Finally, using MapSource, install both CN and your topos at the same time. Then, download the free topos of your choice. ![]() My 0.02 worth.if you want routing, but the City Navigator on CD (or DVD, whatever), then go to and take the tutorial to download MapSource. Having the ability to have the maps on your PC requires a DVD format which will limit the number of devices you can use it on to one. I'll go on the website, download the caches I want, and let the GPSr do the rest. Unfortunately, the downside is I can't display any of the maps on my PC. What I like about the Micro SD card format is that I can take it out of, and place it into, any one of the three devices I have. I bought the City Navigator NT (North America) Micro SD card and installed it directly into my 60CSx. I'm also a geocacher first and I like to have a map that shows city streets so I can navigate "on road" first and then "off road". The caches I find are easy ones not too far of the beaten path. I am not good with the Geo Lingo so please take it easy on me! The gps came with the basic cd rom for trip and waypoint but I think from what I read, I should skip that and buy a different map? Ok my question is, which map (I am in MI and plan to stay in US)? Also, where do I buy it from (online, amazon)? And will this map help me get from point A to point B (meaning down each road/highway all the way through to which ever park etc I end up)? ![]() First, Thank you for helping! I recieved my Garmin GPSmap 60csx in the mail today.
